Not-So-Super News :(
Thought I'd fill ya in... some people aren't sure if the rumors are true. Yes, unfortunately they are. In our first Southern Conference Tournament game (this Thursday) vs. Wofford I blew out my left knee. Last year I had a clean ACL tear. This year I've got the ACL tear, a torn meniscus, and a chunk of one of my femoral condiles (head of your femur bone) was knocked out. So I'm back at being the gimp. I'm having my surgery on Friday the 18th in Greenville with the same Dr. that did my right knee last year. I am hoping to be home by Tuesday before Thanksgiving starting the long road to recovery. I heard Turkey helps, so we'll see. I hope to see a bunch of you at home... but (partially why I'm writing this) you're gonna have to come to visit! :) There will be no driving for me and my two bionic knees. So that's the story. The good news is I made it through most of the season... and am planning to run on fields as a Sr. next year. (These injuries might win battles, but they will not win the war!) Hope ya'll are do'n better than this gimp!
See you soon,
Kate
